From asparagus to zucchini, our mission is to provide fresh, nutritious foods to our elderly, disabled and homebound clients. Fresh Meals On Wheels of Sheboygan County is proud to be one of the first programs in the country to offer meals made with fresh local produce. We grow food in our greenhouse, raised beds behind our building, in the Wildwood Garden at WPS, in our orchard, and in plantings around our building. The people who truly make it possible for us to serve meals made with fresh, locally grown ingredients throughout the year are the local farmers and gardeners who share their bounty with Fresh Meals On Wheels. They donate an average of 12,000 pounds of produce each year.

Please consider dedicating a portion of your garden – whether a pot, a row, or an entire plot – to growing food for Fresh Meals On Wheels. We gladly accept everything from a few extra tomatoes or peppers, to a trailer full of squash! We have gleaned carrots from a local farmer’s field and even had eight acres of corn donated to the program – no matter the size of your donation, it will help!
